Hello Everyone! Namaste. This is my first day on zaadz, and my first blog entry. I feel like a...a...virgin, touched for the very first time. Who said that? Today, Sunday January 21st, is the day my wife Liv's documentary is being shown on SVT here in Sweden. So it's a big day all around. The documentary is a two parter, and follows the formation of a feminist political party from the initial announcement right through to election day (last September). Part 2 airs next Sunday. Last night it actually snowed here for the first time all winter. It was almost weird. It has never happened in recorded Swedish history to have not gotten snow until January 20th. Global warming? And think of this: Stockholm, where I live, is at the same level on the globe as Alaska. Thankfully, we get the Atlantic jetstream to bring warm air, but still... Last week when it still hadn't snowed in Stockholm, I read about snow in the Malibu mountains and frozen avocado and orange groves in California. It seemed the world had turned upside-down. But fear not: Björk is recording with Timbaland and Radiohead are in the studio as well. Plus, David Sylvian is releasing a new disc this week (even if it only has three new tracks and alot of unneccessary remixes)... As for me, I'm delighted to finally join this community. May we all spiral ever upward, and carry the rest of humanity with us...even if it's one person at a time. peace. . .
